D&B Scaffolding employ the services of approximately 120 scaffolders, who are supported by a large team of managers, office personnel and yard operatives based at our offices in Chelmsford, Essex.

All our scaffolders are registered with the CITB Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme CISRS. They regularly undertake Health and Safety testing and are fully equipped with Personal Protective Equipment PPE.

The two Company Directors, Gerry Dobbs and Bellman Bird, have at least 30 years scaffolding experience each and have built the company up from its origin in 1987. They both hold CSCS Construction Project Manager Cards and have undertaken several courses, including a number of Health and Safety training programmes.

The company has a strong management team headed by the Contracts Director, Terry Farrell, who holds the NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. All the supervisors hold relevant CSCS Manager Cards, have undertaken numerous scaffold-related courses and have at least 20 years scaffolding experience each.

D&B Scaffolding employs a full-time Health and Safety Officer who also holds the NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. In addition, he has completed CITB's Scaffold Safety Inspection Course, together with a number of other safety-related courses and first aid training. He is responsible for ensuring that all D&B Scaffolding personnel are fully equipped and trained for the work they undertake.

Despite the company's continual growth over the past few years, it has retained a flat management structure which ensures good communication throughout the company and with our clients. The company also has a very low staff turnover, helping to maintain consistency and long term stability.
